We are recruiting for an experienced cook to join our wonderful team here at Fairytales Day Nursery in Great Barr.

**About the Nursery Cook position**:

- Based in a day nursery setting in Great Barr.
- Salary between £10.85 - £11.20 per hour.
- Permanent role - Part time hours - 22- 25 hours per week.
- Hours of work vary between 9am & 4pm, with one late per week needed.
- All year round contract.

**Role of the Nursery Cook position**:

- Preparing and cooking fresh meals for nursery aged children.
- Ordering shopping weekly and managing shopping budgets.
- Plan exciting menu's each term.
- Organising food quantity for meals orders each day.
- Completing relevant paperwork.
- Working towards maintaining Level 5 food hygiene rating.

**Requirements for the Nursery Cook position**:

- Previous experience in a similar role desirable.
- Must hold a minimum Level 2 food safety certificate.
- Relevant knowledge of correct procedures for cleaning and food preparation/storage.
- Previous experience in meal planning and creating menus.
