**Purpose of the post**
- The purpose of this role is to support and help coordinate the delivery of activities in the Mablethorpe Wellbeing Hub to meet the needs of local people experiencing mental health issues, low confidence and/or loneliness. This role will help support the Delivery Coordinator in delivering services that provide a community response to wellbeing. The service is being delivered within the framework of NHS Community Mental Health Transformation Programme in Lincolnshire. The post-holder will be based at Mablethorpe College with some travel to other centres and community organisations in the surrounding areas. For these reasons, use of own car will be essential.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Collaborate with the Community Connector and other staff to ensure that this provision is well-used and meets the needs of people in the community who experience mental health issues, low confidence and loneliness;
- Take responsibility for assessing the needs of users of the Wellbeing Hub and its satellites and for monitoring impact and progress eg. using the Outcomes Star;
- Work face-to-face with Hub and Satellite users/learners, supporting them to achieve better mental health and wellbeing, increasing independence and reducing reliance on statutory services;
- Help recruit and support other staff and tutors delivering sessions for the Wellbeing Hub;
- Deliver and manage a volunteer peer mentoring scheme to build the capacity of wellbeing support in the Hub and the community;
- With the Community Connector, refer Hub users to other services within and beyond CLIP eg. counselling, courses or other community groups;
- Support the involvement of people with lived experience of mental health in the design, delivery and monitoring of support and activities;
- To demonstrate awareness/understanding of equal opportunities and other people’s behavioural, physical, social and welfare needs ensuring support reaches out to vulnerable, deprived and isolated members of society and identify ways to enhance access and reduce barriers;
- Support the Community Connector in project reporting and gathering data to support service engagement and impact measurement;
- Ensure that reasonable care is taken at all times for the health, safety and welfare of yourself and other persons, and to comply with the policies and procedures relating to health and safety within the department;
- Liaise and create synergy with other staff, tutors and provision at CLIP to enhance and build the effectiveness of this and all our services;
- Attend staff meetings and be willing to undertake training and development activities that would support the development of the role;
- Adhere fully to CLIP’s Quality, Safeguarding, Equality/Diversity, Health/Safety and Environmental Policies and actively seek to improve CLIP’s performance against each.

- Sound knowledge of mental health conditions and associated therapies and support available
- Substantial experience of working in the post-16/adult education sector in a teaching role
- Experience of working in the health sector, ideally including the NHS, in a patient-facing role
- Awareness of the wider provision at CLIP and at other local organisations that can relevant for promotion of wellbeing
- Knowledge and awareness of NHS structures and provision in mental health; awareness of the role of community organisations in providing support
- Awareness of the needs of adult learners returning to learning, and/or with negative experiences of learning
