**Corporate Bench & CCTV Security Officer (Must be available to work Night Shifts)**

Dedicated bench officers will cover all ad-hoc work and holiday on Camden contract

Scope:
This is a casual contract working days and nights 7days a week. On occasion officers will be placed onto a shift rotation for temporary on-going ad-hoc work.

The officers will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day security requirements wherever they are required to work, maintaining a corporate image and high standards of professionalism.

Hours of work will vary dependent on the requirement of the position.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide a prompt, polite and warm welcome to all visitors.
- Anticipate clients’ needs/problems before they arise and that their expectations are met and exceeded each day
- Be seen to be alert, customer focused and helpful.
- Greet and engage with visitors.
- Provide a consistent professional service at all times.
- Maintain a high security awareness at all times
- Undertake patrols and inspections as required.
- Ensuring all H&S policies are adhered to.
- Ensure that no un-authorised persons are permitted in prohibited areas.
- Issue visitor passes using agreed processes and procedures if required
- Maintaining an accurate record of any incidents that occur.
- Ensure site documentation is accurately maintained and all abnormalities reported to the Duty Manager/Supervisor
- Maintain neat and tidy work station

CCTV Duties & Responsibilities
- _
To undertake the operation of all equipment and cameras to comply with the CCTV Code of Practice, on rotating 24-hour shift patterns, 365 days a year, including weekends and bank holidays._
- _ To effectively monitor and patrol via view screens and to take any remedial or immediate action and notification as appropriate to events seen._
- _ To produce and maintain continuity of all detailed records or evidential material required in a clear, concise, legible accurate format. This includes any Written /Electronic management records and other documentation in accordance with the Councils systems and procedures._
- _ To monitor and operate radio links with retail sector and review recorded material for suitability for evidential purposes._
- _ To communicate between other departments, external agencies or the public in a professional and courteous manner at all times._
- _ To follow the guidelines contained in the Code of Practice and Procedure Manual for liaison with the Police. This will include the making of statements where required. To be prepared to attend Court when required, providing evidence._
- _ To carry out regular equipment checks and report all equipment faults to the CCTV Services manager / Maintenance Contractor._
- _ To sign a confidentiality agreement and follow the guidelines regarding handling of all information obtained within the Control Room, whether CD/DVD, written, verbal and other sensitive materials held within the Control Room._
- _ To be aware of and act in accordance with the Data Protection and Human Rights Act regarding disclosure of information and respect to privacy. To ensure the security of the Control Room and all equipment is maintained satisfactorily at all times, which includes access control of all visitors to the Control Room and information within._
- _ To carry out such other duties as the CCTV Services Manager / Contract Manager may properly require from time to time in accordance with the grading of the post._

- Maintain and practice a high degree of confidentiality at all times
- SIA license maintained in date.

High degree of flexibility to cover shifts at short notice

Prepared to train/work at any site/post on the contract
