**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality FMCG and confectionary products.
- Identify and source new suppliers while evaluating existing ones to ensure competitiveness in pricing, quality, and delivery.
- Negotiate favorable terms and contracts with suppliers to secure the best prices, payment terms, and promotional support.
- Monitor inventory levels, analyze sales trends, and collaborate with the inventory management team to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize overstock or stockouts.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure all procured products meet the company's quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality or service levels.
- Collaborate with various departments including sales, marketing, finance, and logistics to align procurement strategies with overall business objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, contracts, and supplier performance. Generate regular reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights for decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to procurement and supply chain operations.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement or buying roles within the FMCG or confectionary industry.
- Proven track record of successfully sourcing and negotiating contracts with suppliers.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing business needs and market dynamics.

Pay: £40,000.00-£46,000.00 per year
