GBR Recruitment Ltd are working in partnership with a leading Automotive / Specialist Vehicle (High Capital Products) manufacturing business, recruiting for an experienced**Electrical Design Engineer (3D AutoCAD)**who has had exposure to **Siemens NX or SolidWorks**ideally.

You will be an innovative & creative Electrical Systems & Wiring Design Professional with strong experience of working with systems design, complexed build design, engineering & manufacturing design (DFM) with an Electrical Design bias.

**Electrical Design Engineer Duties**:

- Implement Design solutions for all Electrical Engineering requirements, to aid delivery of all New Product Introduction, plus many custom build requests,
- Producing drawings to full production level, including detailed technical routing/schematic drawings.
- Have a clear understanding of automotive or similar electrical systems.
- Produce Electrical drawings & Electrical specification documents to allow quotation, purchase & manufacture of all associated components.
- Full engagement with all DFMA activities, for implementation in production builds.
- Testing & proving of new products, within the factory build process.
- The ability to work on multiple projects for production.
- Liaising with the production line to discuss design requirements & any issues.

**Designer Attributes**:

- Degree level qualification - Desirable or time served Design Professional.
- Strong Electrical Systems & Electrical Engineering design experience is essential.
- Electrical Specialist Designer from Automotive, Specialist Vehicles, Plant Machinery or similar.
- Strong Electrical Conceptual Design, NPD & NPI skills required within Electrical DFM.
- Ability to work on a vast variety of Electrical design commodities & systems.
- Strong knowledge of 3D CAD software - Siemens NX preferable, or a similar 3D CAD package like SolidWorks or others.
- An understanding of PLM systems (Siemens Teamcenter used).
