**School Catering Asssitant Required**

**Birmingham area**

**Hours**: Monday to Friday (term time only)

10am to 2pm

An exciting opportunity to join a team has become available. We are currently seeking a conscientious and committed cleaner to join us onsite and provide a safe and happy environment to both clients and staff. This is a hands on role that requires high energyand passion for a spotless environment. You must work to a high standard, have attention to detail and most importantly take pride in your work.

**Responsibilities & Duties**:

- Supporting chefs in a specific work section.
- Washing, peeling and preparing food items.
- Using a variety of kitchen equipment such as mixers, special knives and cutters.
- Unloading deliveries.
- Organising the Kitchen.
- Washing kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors and walls etc.
- Basic food preparation
- Chopping veg and making salads
- Helping Chef and Sous chef with any other catering needs
- Maintain high levels of hygiene and comply with all food hygiene regulations
- Carrying out basic food preparation, serving meals to children and staff, washing up and cleaning the kitchen and dining room

- Salary is paid to scale weekly through PAYE

**Requirements:
- Must be able to provide two professional references which covers the last 24 months of work/study periods
- Some previous kitchen/catering/cafe experience would be ideal
