**Working hours**:2 days on 4 days off. **Senior Therapeutic Support Worker **will be assisting young people / children with their daily routines, hours will be pre-planned
**Job description**
Beeline Personnel are recruiting for an experienced **Senior Therapeutic Support Worker **or an individual looking for growth in this industry to be part of a team who provide support for a children’s residential service which is based in Wolverhampton.

This role will suit an experienced Residential Support Worker looking for a change and is ready for a new challenge.
**Salary: £20,500 - £22,000 (depending on experience and will be discussed during interview)**
**Key Duties**:
- Be accountable to the homes Registered Manager
- To lead the shift and be accountable for the organisation and smooth running of the day
- Providing structure and appropriate boundaries for the children and young people
- To undertake any training that is deemed appropriate to your position
- To attend staff meetings and be a positive role model to the children at their meetings
- Be able to take part in various leisure activities with the children
- Administration of medication when required
- Carry out an essential and varied role to provide the individual, bespoke, support required by the Children and Young People in our care. You will support our Children and young people in their daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and healthy at all times
- Support and encourage children and young people to attend all appointments and meetings about them, whilst ensuring that you build memories and a nurturing and positive relationships
- Work alongside the Registered Manager/Social worker to provide a comprehensive history of a child's life
- Actively involved in key-work sessions and the recording of the outcomes of these sessions with the child or young person
- Manage the well-being and behaviour of children and young people ensuring behaviours are addressed promptly and sensitively
- Contributing to the child/young person’s care plans and risk assessments, their review and implementation
- Ensure that good quality records are maintained as required with supervision and advice Managers
**What we are looking for from you**:
- Dedicated and committed team player
- Must be over the age of 21
- Level 3/4 Diploma in children and young people residential childcare (essential)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a residential Child care setting with children and young people with challenging behaviours or similar setting (essential)
- Be able to work on a rota pattern including sleeping in and overtime when required (rota pattern likely to be 2 days on 4 days off)
- Current full driving licence required due to the nature of job role
- Strong communication skills both with children, young people and adults
- Successful applicants must have or be willing to have, an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and provide satisfactory references
