**An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our client, a leading global FMCG company, as a Finance Assistant, to be based at their prestigious office in Keynsham, Bristol (will involve a mixture of working from the office and working from home).**

**This is a full-time temporary role working a 37.5-hour week to start ASAP until mid-August 2023, paying between £26,000 - £28,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.**

**Please note, due to the urgency of the role, a maximum of a 1-week notice period can be considered.**

This role will require you to oversee the smooth running of the sales ledger ensuring sales invoices are raised and cash collected.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Creating and sending sales invoices and credit notes to customers
- Entering and allocating customer payment receipts
- Processing customer refunds
- Setting up new customer accounts
- Supplying copy documents and maintaining the Accounts inbox
- Managing customer orders on hold and helping with credit control
- Answering and taking payments over the phone
- Customer account reconciliations
- Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure business and customer needs are being met
- Meet all the operational and financial performance targets and obligations, including delivering on working capital KPIs
- Approving or rejecting blocked orders
- Assisting in negotiating payment plans alongside account managers
- Providing reporting for the Financial Control team, including advising on doubtful debtors

**Key Skills Required**
- Experience in a similar role (finance assistant/accounts receivable clerk)
- Previous experience of using ERP systems. IFS experience is preferred however is not essential.
- Proficient MS Excel knowledge
- High levels of accuracy with numerical data input
- Strong organisational skills
- Able to multi-task and prioritise workload effectively
- Self-motivated and proactive, takes initiative
- Analytical and logical
- Excellent attention to detail
- Determined and approaches problems with a positive attitude
- Takes pride in ensuring work is completed in a timely manner and completed accurately
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player, inspires confidence, respects and values others input
- Flexible approach to work and change, able to change gear quickly, as events demand
- Able to work in a faced paced environment with changing prioritises
