**Job Title - **HR Assistant **6 month contract with the possibility of an extension**

**Job Title**:HR Specialist (Dunstable)

**Reports to**:HR Manager (Dunstable)

**Job Outline**:To provide efficient HR administrative support to the Dunstable site.

**Main responsibilities**:

- **Attendance Management**:

- Monitor and maintain daily attendance records in Dunstable sites.
- Liaise with the warehouse manager to address working shifts, exceptions, and abnormal hours, such as missing punches and adding missing hours to the system.
- Enrol fingerprints for new starters into the in-house clocking machine, ensuring staff hours are accurately recorded from their first day.
- **Reporting and Analysis**:

- Generate various HR reports on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis, including but not limited to monthly labour cost reports, absenteeism reports, and monthly headcount reports.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested by the HR Manager or Warehouse Manager.
- Monitor and report labour costs on a weekly basis and investigate any abnormal or unauthorized overtime work hours. Reconcile variances after confirming with employees and line managers.
- **Records Management**:

- Maintain accurate records of staff information, working patterns, and scheduled hours in the attendance system.
- Undertake pre-employment paperwork, including verifying the right to work, and complete onboarding paperwork.
- Handle exit processes, including conducting exit interviews and ensuring the return of company equipment and deactivation of accounts in coordination with the warehouse manager and IT department.
- **Recruitment and Selection**:

- Collaborate with line managers to determine staffing needs, aligning them with the approved workforce plan, and seeking approval from relevant managers to initiate the hiring process.
- **Communication and Collaboration**:

- Maintain regular communication and hold meetings with the HR manager and HQ team to analyze BCT reports, identify areas for improvement, and discuss HR-related matters.
- Collaborate with agencies for recruitment needs, communicate new requests, and assist in HR interviews.
- **General Support**:

- Provide support to the HR manager on various people-related topics and projects.
- Handle any other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the HR manager.

**Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Experience required for role**:

- **Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- CIPD certifications is a big plus.
- **Experience and qualifications**:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in HR in similar role.
- Strong familiarity with UK employment laws and regulations.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Effective stakeholder management skills.
- A hands-on approach with the ability to work independently.
- **Skills and knowledge**:

- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel for reporting purposes.
- Excellent in English both written and verbal

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: £28,000.00 per year
