We are looking for a Matron for the MSK Directorate covering St Richards Hospital, Worthing Hospital and Southlands Hospital as a result of the outcome from the new Clinical Operating Model across the Trust.
The Matron is responsible for the professional and clinical leadership of all the nursing staff, ensuring high quality standards of care are delivered, to ensure patient safety and a positive patient experience. The role involves being able to be extremely flexible in adapting to change quickly, in not only supporting the nursing teams, but also being heavily involved in the daily operational functioning of your areas contributing to the overall site, to ensure safe staffing, patient flow through A&E, Theatres and the Wards and departments. The matron needs to work clinically on the wards or Departments as required to support and be a visible and credible presence, and therefore should have up to date clinical skills.
