**Manual Machinist**required for a robotics manufacturer based in Leek.

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual with a precision engineering background to join our machine shop team. You must have experience in setting and operating miller/milling machines.

**Manual MachinistPosition Overview**
- Be able to set and operate a Milling machine in either XYZ or horizontal. We don't do any turning or vertical machining.
- Manual machining
- Work as part of a team or by themselves, setting and operating horizontal machining centres.
- Be able to use Fanuc and or Heidenhain controls.
- Use precision measuring equipment.
- Be used to making and altering fixtures and jigs.
- Be forward thinking and have a positive approach to setting, fixturing, and machining and be able to make suggestions for improvements / decreasing machining time.
- Can follow instructions and work unsupervised.
- Can read and understand engineering drawings.

**Manual MachinistPosition Requirements**
- Experience in a similar position

**Manual MachinistPosition Remuneration**
- Full time, permanent position available with an immediate start.
- Days and Nights available;
- Days being Monday - Thursday 8am til 5pm and Fridays 7:30am til 4pm.
- Nights being Monday - Thursday 6pm til 6am.
- Holiday entitlement - 17 days + 8 bank holidays.
- The company has a shutdown over the Christmas period for 3 days in Christmas week.
- Salary is £11 - £16 per hour depending on experience and shift choice.
- Opportunity for both Manual & Conventional Machining.
