Boeing Defence United Kingdom (BDUK) is looking for Tooling Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE) focal to support existing Boeing product platforms, principally within the Rotary Wing Enterprise (RWE) Group.

BDUK is a subsidiary of the Boeing Company and currently employs over 1,400 people in the UK. We are responsible for delivering several exciting contracts to our UK defence customers including new capabilities like the E-7 AEW&C and the P-8A Maritime Patrol Aircraft, Autonomous Systems, C4ISR Services, Support for the Chinook & Apache Fleets, Logistic Information Services and Training Services and are very much in a growth phase.

BDUK Engineering function operates a matrix organisation consisting of engineering departments that deliver technical skills, expertise and products into our programmes. This role will be in the Product Support Engineering Department. The Department consists of the following technical areas:

- Reliability Centred Maintenance Analysis
- Reliability and Maintainability
- Logistic Support Analysis
- Engineering Data Exploitation
- Obsolescence Management
- Technical Publications
- Product Support Engineering

As the RWE Tooling STTE Focal, you will help to facilitate and implement Product Support Engineering philosophies and techniques whilst remaining aligned with the appropriate regulatory standards. You will collaborate with the BDUK Product Support Engineering Manager whilst being technically supported by our other capability specialists within the department.

**In your role, you shall**:

- Define and support the implementation of STTE management principles and control measures to facilitate development of optimised support solutions utilising available Engineering, Logistics and Supplier data to ensure compliance and conformity with engineering requirements, specifications and standards.
- Develop and maintain plans, processes and databases to ensure that the STTE/Product Support Solution meets company and regulatory requirements within the scope of the contract inclusive of scheduled maintenance, repair, testing and calibration.
- Identify support requirements with respect to facility and infrastructure considerations in relation to the provision and deployment of STTE at a variety of locations.
- Conduct tasks to identify, collate, analyse, document and provide coherent and actionable data that will advise resource requirements and continued monitoring of condition and schedule based maintenance activities and availability metrics information relevant to STTE.
- Brief internally on STTE Engineering activities and communicate progress with the Product Support department.
- This post will require engagement with a variety of UK and International Engineering capabilities and Supply Chain specialists who form part of an international support network.
- Review Engineering changes to support customer maintenance operations.
- Assist in developing and customising reports and tooling specification sheets.
- Act as a focal to provide technical support to customers.
- Identifying and progress Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Support internal and external audits and reviews to ensure products and data information meet requirements.
- Work as advised by the ILS Technical Lead Engineer and the BDUK Support Engineering Manager.

In addition to your technical work scope, there is an expectation that the post will support wider organisational objectives in relation to; promoting a Safety Culture, promoting and enabling a diverse and inclusive culture, mentoring and coaching, STEM outreach and a number of focus projects to support the growth of the company and its employees.

**Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience**:

- Essential to be able to acquire UK SC security clearance.
- Ideally, an understanding of Support Engineering in the Military environment.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus for detail.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
