**JOB TITLE: Storeperson**

**REPORTS TO: Operations Manager**

**LOCATION: Dundee - TEXO Engineering & Fabrication**

**Purpose of the Role**:
Responsible for the accurate booking in/out of all items of stock and materials, sale or repair. Maintaining accurate stock control, traceability of material and the safe handling, receipt and despatch of goods and material.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
**General**
- Responsible for Health, Safety and Environment across all Dundee operations complying with best practice, company procedures, risk assessments and legal requirements
- Promote a proactive commitment to TEXO improvement initiatives
- Drive to continually improve processes to facilitate improved stores functions
- Carry out inspection of goods received, checking for damage, quantity and quality against the delivery note and purchase order. Stamp and mark the delivery note with “Goods Received Not Checked”
- Enter all details of goods receipt in the WAP system and verifying items received against the purchase order to ensure order requirements are fulfilled
- Verify material certification conforms to PO requirements and is legible
- Allocate MTN number from MTN Register and note MTN number on material certificate and physically mark material with Project and MTN number
- Receipt welding consumables, allocate MTN number from MTN Register and identify consumable with appropriate number
- Monitor consumables, storage conditions and update register/s accordingly
- Maintain traceability of all parts. Ensuring each project specific material/parts is clearly identified and stored appropriately
- Maintain effective consumable control and stock levels
- Liaise with delivery drivers to offload/load incoming/outgoing goods
- To issue stock parts to the workshop as required and ensure consumables are signed in/out as required
- Quarantine and mark up any non-conforming product and notify the PRP
- Ensure good housekeeping practices are maintained. Dispose of waste using the correct bins/skips provided for segregation
- Participate in all training provided by the company
- May be requested at times to perform other tasks and work additional hours in abnormal situations to ensure customer order request dates are achieved.
- Supporting all functions of the business to work together

**People Management**
- Manage contractors on site to ensure they meet legal and company requirements

**Relationship Management**
- Develop strong working relationships with all personnel affiliated with TEXO
- Communicate with colleagues and departments for the mutual benefit of the Company
- Work as part of the team to share ideas and improve operations, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities, process and procedure improvements to optimise results and improve quality of delivery
- Liaise, communicate and build relationships with suppliers, and other service providers

- Support and comply with Health & Safety regulations, Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company policies and procedures

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Previous experience stores experience
- Experienced in the management of materials
- Ability to read and understand steel material certification
- Previous experience in the operation of Forklifts and Overhead Cranes

**Salary**: £14.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Dundee: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- CSCS (preferred)
