Position: Team Leader
Contract Type: 6 Month Secondment (Full-Time) with possibility of position afterwards
Location: Harmondsworth, Polar Park - Heathrow
Salary & any shift premiums: £25,300
Shift patterns: 4 Day on 4 Days off
Work pattern: Rotating between early and late shifts ( 5.00-17.00, 6.00-18.00, and 10.00-22.00)

- Team Management
- To highlight and escalate areas of concern in relation to all Training compliance related issues
- Training colleagues on specific processes and tasks so that they are fully aware of standards and best practices
- Monitoring performance of team members and delivering reviews.
- Maximising accuracy, productivity and space utilisation.
- Ability and flexibility to move around and control various areas of the IFC Hounslow
- Creating and action a training plan to develop a fully flexible workforce, ensuring all training records are complete.
- Address areas of operational performance by liaising with the Shift Managers, to agree corrective plans which will be monitored to ensure improved delivery of Training.
- Comply to all AUDIT requirements in security, Warehouse, H&S, housekeeping and hygiene.
- Escalate and communicate performance issues to the Shift Manager
- Work in a safe manner and ensure that all team members work responsibly and safely.
- Working within a physically demanding environment.
- Carry out operational duties to the required standard in line with Work Instructions and training.
- Lead, motivate and encourage team members to consistently produce maximum levels of performance.
- Flexible with shifts and working hours dependant on Operational requirements.
- Help identify and coach potential new Team Leaders (Succession Planning)
- Carry out 121 reviews, Return to Works

- Warehouse / Transport experience within the working environment
- Computer knowledge / experience would be helpful.
- Great communication skills, credible and confident presenter
- Good observation skills, an eye for detail
- Ability to teach, coach and communicate effectively to teams of colleagues.
- Good analytical and numerical skills
- IT Literature (able to produce and analyse detailed management information): Essential
- Operating of Mechanical Handling Equipment
- Operating IT-systems and processing paperwork as required
- Are flexible in approach to work, and work effectively as part of a team, providing support in resolving problems and have a can do, right first time and passionate approach

**Security Process to work within Aviation and Travel at DHL**
- Be able to provide 5 years address history
- Be able to provide 5 years reference history (employment/education/benefit claim/character)
- To obtain a full airside ID
