Dog Walker and Pet Sitter

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Dog Walker and pet sitter to join our team. As a Dog Walker, you will be responsible for providing exercise and companionship to dogs in our care. This is a great opportunity for individuals who love animals and enjoy spending time outdoors. It is a challenging but very rewarding job and not for the faint hearted All applicants must be able to help with pet sitting within their own homes.

**Duties**:

- Walk dogs on a regular schedule, ensuring they get the exercise they need
- Provide basic obedience training during walks
- Monitor the behavior and health of dogs in your care
- Clean up after dogs during walks and dispose of waste properly
- Ensure the safety of dogs at all times, including using appropriate leashes and restraints
- Communicate with dog owners regarding any issues or concerns that arise during walks
- Maintain accurate records of each walk, including time spent, distance covered, and any observations

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working with animals, preferably in a professional capacity
- Knowledge of basic animal care and behavior
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

**Skills**:

- Heavy lifting: Dog walkers may need to lift larger dogs or carry supplies such as water bottles or waste bags.
- Customer service: Interacting with dog owners requires good customer service skills to address any concerns or questions.
- Animal care: A basic understanding of animal care is necessary to ensure the well-being of the dogs.
- Veterinary knowledge: Familiarity with common health issues or first aid procedures for dogs is beneficial.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.30-£13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 38 per week
