Security Officer

Ward Security is looking for a committed Security Officer to become a valuable member of our team based at 14 St George Street, London.
As a Security Officer you are responsible for protecting premises, assets and personnel as well as maintaining a secure and safe environment for visitors, staff, and contractors. You require to maintain a highly visible presence at all times and prevent any illegal or inappropriate actions. In addition to playing an active role in incident response as instructed by the DSM’s. **Your goal is to detect, deter, protect, observe, and report.**
**Position**: Security Officer
**Pay rate**: £12.45
**Shift Pattern**: 180- rotating shift schedule
- 24/7 coverage
**Location**: 14 St George Street W1S 1FH
**Must Have**:
- Valid SIA licence
- Proven work experience as a Security Officer -min 1 year
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Basic IT Skills
- High standard of personal presentation
**Main Responsibilities**
- Ensure all instructions, both written and verbal are adhered to.
- Always conduct yourself in a professional manner
- Conduct foot patrols within defined areas as an effective deterrent in the protection of the client’s property and assets.
- Act as a point of contact and information centre to staff and visitors.
- Investigate and take the appropriate lawfully action as authorised by the corporate policy on accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activities, safety, and fire incidents.
- Guard access points, permitting or refusing entry, restraining trespassers, and direct heavy traffic during start and end of business hours.
- Complete daily reports, including relevant information, observations, surveillance footage, and signatures.
