Prospectus is pleased to be partnering with a Social Enterprise that exists to build a society where everyone has a fulfilling purpose, and a good place to live, with good people around them. With one of their focus' being justice, they work with young people and adults both in custody and in the community to provide a range of services that provides effective support mechanisms and intervention to help their service users reach their true potential. They are now recruiting for a temporary Substance Misuse Practitioner to join their Hampshire based team, initially for 3 months.

As a Substance Misuse Practitioner, you will support a caseload of children and young people (C&YP), aged 11- 25. Duties will include delivering age appropriate 1:1 intervention and groupwork, developing, monitoring, and evaluating care plans and carrying out effective assessment, care planning and risk management. You will Support C&YP to access appropriate services, working in partnership with Children and Families services (CFS) and liaising effectively with local partner organisations, building positive working relationships, and taking a multi-agency approach to ensure that safeguarding, risks, and vulnerabilities are identified.

To be considered, you will have previous experience of providing support to young people in a treatment and/ or prescribing setting for substance use/ misuse and those with complex needs/vulnerabilities. You will be able to deliver one to one interventions and group work and have knowledge of alcohol/drugs and their effects and of issues/factors associated with C&YP and substance misuse. Overall, you will have excellent engagement skills, with the ability to motivate and enthuse young people and be able to support the C&YP to lead safe, happy, and productive lives.

The role will be based in Hampshire, either located in Basingstoke or Test Valley. Working hours are 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday, on average 3 days outreach + 2 days' work from home. (Dependant on service user needs). Due to nature of the role a valid driving license and access to a vehicle is required.
