Norse Groups Support Services division has an exciting opportunity for an **Employee Relations Consultant** to join our busy HR team based in Exeter.
This position is being offered on a full time, permanent contract working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
**The role**
As **Employee Relations Consultant**, you will be responsible for reporting directly into the Strategic HR Business Partner, you will act as a first point of contact for all employee relation matters, providing advice and support to management on HR issues as well as supporting with the development and review of group policies, procedures and change management.
In this role you will be part of a diverse, and experienced HR team, promoting a positive working environment where equality, diversity and inclusivity are embedded whilst providing expert advice to the business giving you responsibility for;
- Promoting Group wider HR strategy, ensuring that HR enables the business to deliver its commercial and customer objectives
- Provide expert guidance across multiple business disciplines in the case of grievance, performance management, sickness, investigations and disciplinary procedures
- Develop strong professional relationships with internal stakeholders across the business
- Conduct market research and advise the business in regard to employee benefits and well-being strategy
- Identifying opportunities to develop people management skills across the group through sharing your knowledge and implementing HR training sessions
You will have previous experience operating in a HR role, ideally within a large, complex organisation whilst also able to demonstrate;
- Level 5 CIPD Qualification, ideally working towards Level 7 with a passion for continuous professional development.
- Excellent knowledge of HR Practices, legislation and employment law with an extensive understanding of current best practice in people management.
- Previous experience in contributing to HR projects to support the business strategy alongside the design, delivery and embedding of organisational change
- Strong communications skills with the capability of negotiating and influencing with a range of stakeholders at all levels
This position may require you to attend meetings across our various UK locations, so a full UK driving licence in required for this position.
