L Tranter & Son is a 6th generation family business, dedicated to giving local families in Shropshire a fitting and truly personalised service in their time of need. This ethos also follows through when a family are choosing a memorial to remember their loved one.

We are seeking a professional, caring and dedicated individual to join our team. Primarily working at our St Georges Head Office 46 hours per week (average), you will also be required to work at our other local offices (as and when needed) and participate in Saturday morning and out of hours rotas.

Main duties will include

Arranging Funerals.

Conducting Funerals

Arranging Pre-Paid Funeral Plans.

Processing Arrangements on our Funeral Software.

Preparing and typing Funeral confirmations and estimates for families and officiants.

Processing service sheets.

Ordering floral tributes.

Liaising and building relationships with the many stakeholders we work closely with.

Supporting bereaved families visiting the Chapel of Rest.

Maintaining filing systems.

Receive and handle cash / card payments.

Participating in an out of hours rota.

Assisting with preparing the deceased for Chapel of Rest visits.

Handling Cremated Remains and organising Interments.

All other duties required of a Funeral Director.

Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
