Dietetic Assistant Practitioner Home Enteral Feeding

This post will give you the opportunity to develop your skills working within our Home Enteral Feeding and Head and Neck Community Nutrition Support Teams at Princess of Wales Hospital and Glanrhyd Hospital, Bridgend. The community dietetic team in CTMUHB is split across two sites. Glanrhyd Hospital, Bridgend and Pontypridd Cottage Hospital.
The post holder will be supervised by the home enteral Feeding Lead Dietitian and will assist in the provision of Dietetic services across the whole health board to patients who need treatment for or to prevent malnutrition. You will work alongside other Dietetic Assistant Practitioners to support the care of adult patients in care homes and own homes requiring oral and artificial nutrition support. You will have regular supervision and support as well as encouragement to continually develop your skills and knowledge within this specialist team.
As well as working with patients, you will also assist the Dietitians with the administrative duties as well training of carers, care home, community or educational staff on aspects of nutrition and nutrition support.

This post sits within the team at Glanrhyd Hospital however on occasions you may be required to deliver the service to patients across the whole of Cwm Taf University Health Board therefore, the ability to travel throughout the geographical area in a timely manner is essential.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
