AOI operator must have the ability to work in a small batch/large mix environment. This role will involve all aspects of SMT inspection but principally running the 3d AOI. The operator must be able to grasp all these aspects both technical and operational.

They will also have knowledge and the ability to grasp the concept of all SMT production including drawings and BOM's. They must have the capability to be involved in Quality Improvement activities and be able to suggest improvements, which lead to better quality and efficiency. The operator must have good personal skills such as communication and be able to work consistently without supervision.
- Able to program and inspect using a 3D/2D AOI
- Inspection using IPC610 class 1,2,3 and _IPC_-7711B/7721B
- Collation of and strict adherence to all process control information.
- Input of quality control documentation and reports
- Identify faulty product and the ability to be proactive regarding its root cause.
- Work with the test department in identifying persistent areas of failure of the product/process.
- Take active participation in general Quality Improvement activities
- Input to ERP system process control documentation
- Any other task requested within the production department.
