**Pensions Specialist**

**Come and join the Pensions Management Team within the Industrial Relations & Reward unit, who are collectively responsible for the day-to-day oversight and management of the EDF Group of the Electricity Supply Pension Scheme (EDFG), a Defined Benefit scheme which has c30,000 members and assets of c£6bn and EDF’s Defined Contribution scheme, myRetirement Plan, which has c12,500 members and assets of c£250m.**

**The Opportunity**

The team provides support to employees and pension scheme members, Trustees, the external administrator of EDFG, the Supervisory Board of myRetirement Plan and is responsible for key relationships at Legal and General, as well as with EDF HR Business Partners, Reward Managers and Consultants and IT stakeholders. The Pensions Management Team are a team of 7 people, and you’ll report to Pensions Liaison Manager, but will be working with the whole of the Pensions Management team.

**What you’ll be doing**

You’ll be responsible for providing vital assistance to the Pensions Management Team, supporting the different specialisms within the team including operations, strategy, trustee secretariat, investments, communications, and membership support. You’ll help deliver excellent governance to the Trustee of EDF Group of the Electricity Supply Pension Scheme including helping with the logistics of managing the Trustee Board and their committee meetings.

You’ll assist with monitoring the performance of the external EDFG administrator including managing and escalating member cases, seeking, and delivering continuous improvement and reporting to stakeholders. Working with stakeholders to manage pension and risk benefit arrangements and assist in the delivery of identified liability reduction opportunities and develop and deliver continuous improvement projects.

You will assist with the managing severance exercises, supporting on sensitive member cases and delivering member focused technical briefings and support materials. Supporting the management of the Investment Committee, including liaison with the investment consultant and investment managers. Help implement any new investment manager appointments/rebalancing exercises as required.

You’ll collaborate with the rest of the team to deliver the communications strategy to employees and members of the pension schemes, including regular member newsletters, digital communications, and websites. Accountable for supporting the Pensions Director and all members of the Pensions Management Team with both project delivery and business as usual tasks.

**Who you are**

To be successful in this role you’ll need to be able to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders. You will need to be organised with a high level of self-motivation and the ability to work under pressure remotely.

A confident communicator, and ability to work with different stakeholders internally and externally. You’ll have proven experience of good problem-solving skills and initiative. You’ll be able to have a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
