**Role context and purpose**:
Working as part of a dedicated team, your role will be to track and coordinate software and hardware upgrades across the entire Pulsant client estate. This will involve daily and weekly planning sessions with other members of the Patching team and monthly reporting to the Executive Board.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Planning, prioritising, testing, scheduling, communicating and approving the deployment of security patches.
- Create test plans for the assessment of new patches prior to full deployment including test steps and success criteria.
- Track and report on automated patching via our internal deployment infrastructure. Manage the enablement of newly delivered client services to ensure maximum adoption of automation across the estate.
- Ensure all Change activity is carried out in line with Pulsant’s Change Control process with particular emphasis on rollback procedures. Manage client comms in an informative, timely and thorough fashion.
- Lead Pulsant’s response to critical vulnerabilities, working with other teams to deploy the appropriate level of resource to ensure our clients are protected.
- Liaise with Client Account and Service Managers as required to support client engagement and improvement plans.
- Work closely with our Client Technical Services teams to manage client Incidents resulting from patching activity, with a focus on lessons learned and continual improvement.
- Produce inventory of “unpatchable” client assets and prepare plans for remediation, upgrades and mitigation / workaround.
- Continual development of Patching team KPIs / Metrics to demonstrate effectiveness and current levels of business risk.

**Skills & Experience**
- Experience of working with broad range of technologies within an IT support environment / proven equivalent experience in a highly detailed administrative role
- Demonstrable understanding of Excel reporting functions ideally to an advanced level
- Basic understanding of working with Service Level Agreements
- Scheduling, organisational and process management skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work well to deadlines and under pressure
- Good problem solving skills
- Keen interest in, and passionate about IT
