NHS Wales - Trainee Clinical Scientist (Route 2)

Magnetic Resonance Imaging Physics

Earn a competitive salary through a 3 year, full-time, nationally recognised training programme (IPEM Route 2)

Starting salary will be on the first point of Band 6 on a 3 year fixed term contract due to funding.

The NHS in Wales is offering a salaried post-graduate training post for a high calibre science graduate who is passionate about science and its role in patient care in the field of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Physics. This post is open only to those who have been awarded or who are currently undertaking a recognised MSc in Medical Physics or equivalent

Role will be based in South-west Wales at the Singleton Hospital in Swansea and be employed by Swansea Bay University Health Board for the duration of their training. There will also be some travel expected in order to attend other training centres, sites at which services are provided or workshops.

On completion of training, prospects for permanent employment within Wales are excellent. For individuals with aptitude and commitment there are opportunities to progress through the career pathway to Consultant Clinical Scientist.
