**Salary**: £25,000 per annum
**Location**: Leeming Bar
**Hours**: Monday - Friday 08:30am - 17:00pm
**Type**: Permanent
Imperial Professionals are currently recruiting for a large food manufacturer who are looking to appoint a Process Technologist
**Duties**:
Taking responsibility for making sure that new products make a smooth transition from trial and testing stages to full production.
Ensuring all work meets customer and in-house standards for quality and safety.
Ensure all customer QAS are built and agreed with the intended customer.
Scheduling and managing production line trials and revaluations making sure everything has gone to plan.
Attend launch and ensure that production process is adhered to and product is produced to all specified standards
Understanding production process and identification of potential issues, make recommendations for improvements to meet business expectations.
Accurately recording and interpreting data, measure yields and ensure adherence to quality, safety and customer expectations.
Ensuring that operating procedures and specifications are written correctly for each product and are available to relevant staff.
Understanding critical paths, adherence to key dates and keep up to date with specific project information.

Support initial production runs, be available to trouble shoot and provide expert advice.
Work closely with purchasing to ensure all incoming stock for production trials and first production runs is in place.
Attend production planning meetings.
Communicate launch details with the customer include arranging, reviewing and dispatching samples for reviews as requested.
Involvement with trialling new processing equipment either in support to a new product launch or making improvements to current production processes.
Facilitating customer visits during production launches.
Ensure all products are costed thoroughly after production trials and prior to product launches

**Requirements**:
Trained against company QMS and QA-SOP’s
Knowledge of BRC, GMP, Major Retailer codes of practice.
Good computer skills including MS Office and Excel
