You will be responsible for the accounting and finance of the group (currently 7 clinics) and will act as an advisor to the CEO on financial aspects of the business planning.

This is a great opportunity to step into a role where you will be able to see the direct impact of your work on the business plan.

Working with the support of an associate, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting financial reports including annual tax returns, monthly accounts and annual accounts. Working closely with department heads you will monitor budget spend and managecash flow.

Core Responsibilities:

- Ensure the company is compliant in relation to legal financial requirements and obligations
- Control income and expenditure; producing and managing annual and monthly financial budgets
- Report on and manage cash flow including commentary on trends
- Understand, control and improve KPI data
- Full balance sheet control
- Control of banking and banking processes
- Prepare regular management accounts including accruals, pre-payments and departmental analysis
- Prepare management accounts in a timely manner
- Prepare and submit statutory financial reports, working in partnership with the company's accountants
- Prepare special reports to support business planning
- Maintain and distribute weekly/monthly/quarterly reports
- Undertake financial audits & report on compliance
- Liaise with external advisers to identify tax efficiencies
- Maintain accounting controls by preparing and implementing policies and procedures
- Manage finance staff

**Skills**:

- Demonstrates strong technical, people and business skills to effectively manage company finances, implement company policies, and ensure external compliance with HMRC, Companies House, etc.
- Has full control over financial activities, both operational and strategic to support day-to-day activities of the business and informed decision-making at all levels of the organisation
- Multitasking
- Builds strong working relationships with Accounts Associate, heads of department, CAs and the rest of HQ team to achieve common goals
- Advanced user of Xero accounts, Sage Payroll and MS Excel
- Ideally, you have knowledge of SQL to be able to manage and amend reports created by external system developers

Education and Experience:

- Must be qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or part-qualified with strong experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting/finance, ideally within a multi-site SME
- Experience with financial reporting requirements
- Experience in working with multiple legal entities
- 28 to 35 hours per week by negotiation

**Salary**: £35,000.00 to £40,000.00 pro rata per year plus benefits
