Derbyshire County Council are looking for **Care Workers (Community)** to work in our local areas to help people achieve their maximum level of independence after an accident or general dip in health. **You don’t need to have previous experience of care work or qualifications as we offer structured training to ensure our care workers receive what they need to flourish and progress in their social care careers**

We have vacancies in numerous areas across Derbyshire (Ashbourne, Wirksworth, Matlock, Bakewell and all surrounding areas) working anytime between 7.00am and 22.00pm on a Rota basis, with various part time contracts and opportunities to work additional hours if required. This role requires applicants to travel across a sizeable geographical area. Applicants must hold a current driving license and have access to a car.

The job may require unsocial hours working including weekends and Bank Holidays. Payment arrangements will be detailed in any contract offer made.

Saturday and Sunday hours will be paid at plain time where it is part of your normal working pattern unless it is between 7pm and 7am, where enhanced rates of pay apply. Enhanced pay rates are paid for Bank Holiday working.

An initial one off lump sum Welcome payment of £500 (pro-rata) is attached to this post payable in your first salary. If you voluntarily leave the Council’s employment within 12 months, you are required to repay some or all of the welcome payment (Terms and conditions apply).
