To help us build our Change capability, accelerate the delivery of our strategic programmes and drive the adoption of unified Agile ways of working and more effective change delivery across UK&I we're looking for a talented Counter Fraud Team Leader to join the growing team.

**What you'll be doing**:
Reporting into the Technical Claims Operations Manager, you will be heading up a team of reactive/proactive experienced Fraud Handlers. Your day to day responsibilities will include staff management, development, audit, embedding improvements and act as a technical expert to direct reports on all fraud related matters.

This rare and exciting role will include supporting the Management Team in areas of Fraud. The role and the team in general make a direct difference to our customers, preventing and detecting fraud and thus lowering premiums.

**Some of your key accountabilities (but not limited to) will be**:

- Handling the daily and weekly reports on the productivity of your team
- Detecting and preventing motor claims fraud against the Group and act as a Point of Contact for all fraud related queries received from the business or external bodies to include Police, IFB, IFED
- Actively participating in the strengthening of our counter-fraud capabilities through suggesting, devising and delivering new processes, procedures, initiatives, systems and training to the business.
- Ensuring adherence to the Counter Fraud strategy on fraud case handling and keep up to date with developments
- To be fully competent in handling all elements of the claim process to include personal injury, credit hire, liability, fraud and litigation.
- Lead the Unit and head projects to improve the fraud capabilities within the team and the business in general.

**Education**

A-Levels or a desire to work towards ACFS Qualification

**Experience**
- Previous motor claims fraud experience preferred.
- Solid motor insurance experience including Personal Injury essential
- Credit Hire handling experience preferred.
- Previous Team Leadership / People Management experience preferable
- PC literate (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint etc)

**Skills & Knowledge**
- Excellent communication an analytical skills (verbal and written)
- Works well under own initiative and as part of a team.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Perceptive and keen attention to detail is essential.
- Knowledge of all pertinent legislation i.e., Fraud Act, POCA, RIPA, DPA, FoI etc
- Competent in the use of investigation tools such as I2, MID, MIAFTR, HPI, CUE, Experian, 192, Land Registry, social media etc
- Good understanding and knowledge of relevant Case Law and the impacts on fraud types
- Sound knowledge of the legal processes and stages of litigation
- Excellent people, motivation and influencing skills.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
