**What is the job?**

Staybridge Suites Brighton have a fantastic opportunity for a Hotel Receptionist to join our newly opened hotel on a full-time basis

The moment a guest steps into one of our hotels, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. As a receptionist, you’ll not only be the person they rely on to handle transactions, offer local insights, and anticipate every detail of a friction-free experience. You’ll also create the warm atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home in any location.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Be the warm welcome that kicks off a memorable guest experience, check in/check out guests with a professional manner.
- To have a good knowledge and understanding of all hotel facilities, events, offers.
- Take reservations and bookings and ensure that all relevant guest information is entered accurately into the hotel’s reservation system.
- Respond to guest complaints or issues and resolve them in a timely and professional manner.
- Handle cash and card payments.
- Coordinate with other hotel departments such as housekeeping, maintenance and food and beverage.
- Monitoring access to the building, managing security systems and responding to emergencies.
- Ensure that the reception area is clean, tidy, and presentable always.

**What We Need from You**:

- Strong communication skills and the ability to speak, read and write in English fluently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle guests in a courteous, professional, and emphatic manner.
- Strong organization and time-management skills and attention to details.
- Proficient in computer systems (MS Office, hotel management software/OPERA)
- Flexibility in terms of working hours (early, mid, and late shifts) and availability to work weekends and holidays. (We are open 7 days a week 365 days a year)
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with previous experience as a hotel receptionist.

**Physical requirements**:

- Ability to stand for long period of times
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 kg.

**Salary**: £12.00 per hour
