We are currently recruiting for a temporary Office Administrator on behalf of our public sector client. You will be working within a small friendly team environment, responsible for providing administration support and PA cover for councillors and cabinetmembers.
Working Hours - Full-Time (Hybrid) working 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 4:30pm Friday.
Initially, you will be in the office full-time for 3 weeks (for training) then will work 3 days in the office based in the centre of Barnsley (S70) and 2 days working from home.
Main Duties:
- Quality control of documents, reports, and letters being sent externally
- Diary management, including arranging meetings and appointments
- Service meetings, including the preparation of documentation ensuring outcomes are appropriately recorded and actioned
- Work as a team to provide admin support to over 40 councillors
- Cover of PA support to cabinet members (as required)
- Other ad hoc duties as required
Personal spec:
- Experience working as a Business Support Officer or Administrator (at least 2 years)
- Organised - able to manage diaries and arrange meetings and related documentation
- Able to work within a small tight knit team environment
- Experience facilitating meetings - arranging meetings, booking venues, minute taking, document preparation
- PA experience (desirable not essential)
- Experience working within the public sector (desirable not essential)
