Machinist

Challenge trg Recruitment currently looking for Machine Operators with experience within the automotive/manufacturing sectors to join our client located in Pontypool area

It is anticipated that the assignment will last for at least six months, but could be longer.

**Location**:
Pontypool

**Shift Patterns and Hourly rate**

Monday till Friday

6am-2pm £12.86

2pm-10pm £12.86

10pm-6am £13.60

**Skills/Experience**:

- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
- Previous experience in a manufacturing/automotive industry
- Experience in working in a medium/high volume production environment
- Understanding of quality systems and completing quality checks/gauging
- Attention to detail is essential
- Able to work with mínimal supervision.

**Duties**:

- Loading and unloading of parts
- Packing and movement of product.
- Obtaining and replenishing raw materials and component stocks to maintain production flow.
- Ability to follow work instructions (verbal and written)
- Gauge and measure against inspection control plans and carry out 1st off inspections
- Flexi honing
- Housekeeping duties.
- Carry out Level 1 Daily Preventative Maintenance (TPM)
