The Circus Restaurant, Bath is AA Rosette accredited, and recognised for many years in The Good Food Guide, The Michelin Guide and voted Number 4 in the UK by The Times Newspaper's "20 Secret Restaurants that Foodies Love"
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at one of the best and most well-respected restaurants in Bath. We run a hugely popular, very reputable independent restaurant with an exciting and interesting menu that changes seasonally. We consistently rank among the most prestigious and best restaurants in the South West of England. Located in the centre of Bath opposite the internationally recognised Crescent, we are always busy with locals and tourists alike. We need you to be comfortable working in a busy, high pressure restaurant environment and delivering the highest quality of service at all time to our customer base, many of whom are repeat customers.

About you:
Friendly, and hardworking, with a strong focus on exceptional customer service and attention to detail are the qualities we value most. We have a loyal and high spend customer base in Bath and we are looking for someone who is customer focused with good interpersonal skills who can ensure they enjoy their visits as fully as possible.
**Responsibilities**:
- greet customers politely as they enter the restaurant and show them to their tables, take orders and serve food.
- maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of the menu items and daily specials, offering suggestions where appropriate
- work with kitchen staff to process and expedite food orders, using established food handling and serving techniques
- ensure customers are satisfied with their food orders, beverages and service
- monitor customer's needs and promptly handle requests to ensure a first class customer experience
- handle customer complaints in a polite and professional manner
- Take customer payments, and process cash and credit card payments

- re-set and prepare table for customers including decorations, condiments, napkins, utensils
- maintain a clean and organized service area
- dispose of waste according to established procedures
- perform any side-work as requested
- comply with safety, health and hygiene policies and procedures
In return, we will offer you:
- We have some of the best paid serving staff in Bath. You will keep all of your own tips, in a busy restaurant with a high spend average customer. Our full time serving staff generally earn between £10,000 and £15,000 in tips per year
- Every Sunday off (since the restaurant is closed on Sundays).
- Guaranteed Christmas break of at least 2 weeks.
