**Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant (ASD Support)**
**Location**: Kirby, Liverpool

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team and provide specialized support to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). As an integral member of our school community, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a supportive and enriching learning environment for children with ASD.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-to-one and small group support to children with ASD, both in the classroom and during structured activities.
- Implement individualized learning plans and behavioural strategies to support the specific needs of each child.
- Assist with academic tasks, including reading, writing, and numeracy, while adapting teaching methods to suit the learning styles of children with ASD.
- Support children in developing social skills and promoting positive interactions with peers and adults.
- Help children manage sensory sensitivities and regulate their emotions and behaviour effectively.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure coordinated support and continuity of care for children with ASD.
- Monitor and record the progress of children, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is essential.
- A patient and empathetic approach to working with children with special needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
- Understanding of different learning styles and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or special education are desirable but not essential.
