Software Test Engineer
Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Software Test Engineer to join a manufacturer company based in Salisbury. This is a full time, hybrid permanent position.
Responsibilities as a Software Test Engineer:

- Develop software test plans for testing products, resolving inconsistence and issues
- Running and recording of tests, providing compliance of software to specification
- Interface to software developers and other teams to resolve issues
- Assist the production team with their requirements and with software releases
- Identify automated test opportunities and assist with implementation
- Plan software development and regression test times and feed back to manager
- Support compliance requirements including working with third party test houses and compliance hardware/ software engineers
- Work with technical support and sales team with software queries and training with the products

Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years software test experience
- Degree qualified ideally in an engineering discipline
- ISTQB would be preferred but not essential
- Python Scripting and test automation experience is desirable
- Ability to identify issues, accurately logging and recording defect records in a tracking system
- Experience with networking and serial debugging
- Experience with fault finding using logic analyser, oscilloscope and multi meter
- Ability to read schematic and basic soldering skills

This is a full time, hybrid permanent position. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, flexible between 8:30am - 18:00pm.
