**Job description**:
DIO Regional Delivery Overseas and Training (OS&Trg) provides a range of infrastructure and training support functions across the UK and overseas. The organisation is Head of Establishment (HoE) for the UK Defence Training Estate, provides direct training support to UK Armed Forces and wider MOD, in addition to supporting Cadets, Over Government Departments and foreign armed forces. We provide these services overseas in Germany, Canada, Kenya and Belize, where we are not HoE. OS&Trg lead all aspects of the provision of a Training Estate that is of the right size and standard against the endorsed need, fit for purpose, safe, well managed, sustainable and sensitive to social and environmental considerations. OS&Trg also provides infrastructure support functions in the PJOBs and Far East. This encompasses Cyprus, Gibraltar, the Falkland Islands, Ascension Island, Nepal, Brunei and Singapore.

We are responsible for the military training estate in the North Region ensuring safe place of the training estate by making available to the customer safe and compliant infrastructure.

The successful applicant will be accountable for ensuring adherence and conformity with all agreed DIO TLB and RAF processes and operating procedures in an NEC3 environment, and particularly those which are detailed under the key infrastructure processes.

These processes include Assuring that the National Training Estate Prime (NTEP) contract agreement is being met in region in line with, where appropriate, the assurance framework You will be involved at an exciting time for the contracts department with the move to the Future Defence Infrastructure Services (FDIS) Contract which will involve working in a fast paced environment to meet the FDIS objectives. It also includes, Assisting with the planning and delivery of NTEP Additional Services (supporting the Service Manager’s Representative (SMR)) and other delegated projects. There is a need to aid and collaborate with NTEP delivery staff to provide regional Additional Services. When required they will also need to provide assistance in the delivery of Capital Works Programmes and development of business cases in support of these. There will be a requirement to provide support pan region as and when required, where there is a business need.

The contracts and Infrastructure team consists of 5 personnel. The post will be one of the team and will work closely with the other contract and Infrastructure staff, including the Industry Partner.

We employ approximately 4,900 staff from a very diverse range of professions, and we work across the world; in Germany, Cyprus and the Falkland Islands, Norway, Poland, Kenya, Belize, Nepal and Oman.

You can view our YouTube video to see more about our work RAF Spadeadam is part of the OS&Trg Estate but has a unique position in that Organisation. The primary role of RAF Spadeadam is to provide an Electronic Warfare and Threat Training Facilitiy (EWTTF) delivering operational training development and maintenance of combat efficiency by surviving complex multi threat EW environments and threats in non-permissive airspace.

While the role is based at Spadeadam there is the opportunity to travel to Halton Camp, Holcombe Moore and Wathgill Camp and other parts of the North AOR to provide support pan region as directed. The role is accountable to the C1 Senior Estate Facilities Manager and Station Commander of RAF Spadeadam.

The main responsibility of the RAF Spadeadam EFM is to support the development management and monitoring of the NTEP contract and / or its successor(s).
They must work within the Nationally established assurance framework with the strategic objective of:
Improving and maintaining the DTE in order to maintain the objective training needs.
