We are a Case Management company, commissioned to provide supervision and management to staff who are employed by the person they work for. We are currently looking for support workers to work with ‘Katie’.
- This post is only open to female staff only as it involves personal care; Occupational Requirement (Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9 Part I)._

Katie is a delightful eight-year-old girl who resides in Hockley, Essex. Due to an acquired brain injury Katie has cerebral palsy, and cortical visual impairment. Katie uses a wheelchair and requires full assistance with her personal care.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a brand-new support team for Katie. We can offer weekday or weekend contracts (or a mixture of both), and there will be an option to work night duties after a successful probation period. In time, there will be a promotion opportunity, with the right support worker progressing to a team leader role.

**Benefits**
- £ 15.00 per hour weekdays
- £ 17.00 per hour weekend daytime
- £168.00 per waking night weekdays
- £192.00 per waking night weekends
- £95.00 per sleep in night weekday and weekend.
- 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro-rata)
- 2 weeks employer sick pay
- At least double pay for Bank Holidays worked.
- Full induction
- On-going training and professional support and supervision

Katie enjoys hydrotherapy, bowling and using her lazy spa at home. She can operate switch toys using a BIGmack switch. Katie enjoys domestic play such has using her toy washing machine and tea set with adult support.

Katie requires enthusiastic and caring support staff who can assist her with her rehabilitation programme, engaging with the local community and having a lot of fun. She has a wonderful sense of humour and brings joy to everyone she meets. Katie requires medication daily. Katie eats and drinks orally but needs an adult to feed her and steady her cup.

Katie lives with her parents and her younger sibling. Support staff would need to be prepared to work closely alongside Katie’s family. There may be a requirement for support staff to accompany the family on holiday in the future.

Applicants must have a **full driving licence** and be willing to drive Katie on gaining experience of using her wheelchair accessible vehicle.
