My client is currently looking for some temporary support from a Legal Secretary in their Family law department for the next month. The main function of this role is to provide enhanced support to the Fee Earners to enable them to operate at optimum efficiency.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

- Word processing/typing and collating correspondence and other documents from audio/digital dictation, amending and formatting documents quickly and accurately.
- Day to day typing of letters, memoranda, monthly reports, bill, file notes etc.
- To be a point of contact for clients in the absence of the Fee Earner and to answer incoming calls (including those to other staff in the office who are away from their desk) in a professional and friendly manner taking messages and passing on to appropriate person(s).
- Creating and amending legal documentation.
- Maintaining diary systems where appropriate along with arranging and booking of meetings.
- Maintaining effective filing systems including scheduling of files for archiving and retrieval of files from storage.
- Assist with the payment and processing of invoices.
- Assisting with monthly billing.
- Ensuring compliance with quality standards and the firm’s policies in general.
- Working as part of a team to ensure that effective secretarial cover is maintained.
- Deal with client information with the utmost Confidentiality.
- Other support services including but not limited to taking minutes of meetings and initiating and replaying to correspondence on routine matters.

**Skills and Experience**
- To be considered for this role you must have previous experience working in a similar Legal Secretary role as we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running.
- You will have good administration and communication skills, and experience of audio typing would be an advantage.
- The post holder is expected to use a high degree of self management and initiative and to maintain a highly professional, efficient, confidential and friendly service ensuring quality service to clients is always achieved.
- You should be available to start immediately.
