**Type**: full-time/permanent

Data Science Lead required within a Speciality Insurer to build and lead a new, small AI Ecosystem team, who will be focused on Data Modelling and Data Ingestion.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Partner with different business departments to identify Data Science and AI solutions for various business strategic needs
- Evaluate and implement AI capabilities from internal team and/or external vendors, start-ups, etc
- Engage 3rd party business partners (e.g.Brokers), Regulators and other governmental bodies, etc. for mutually beneficially data exchanges leveraging AI and monetise our data, AI assets
- Build, implement and manage a framework for ethical usage of Data and AI assets within the business
- Drive AI and ML capability building and ensuring appropriate reuse of relevant assets across the business and potentially with the wider Group
- Champion and rally the organization around Data Science and AI leading the case for driving change through the power of Digital, Data and AI as a thought leader

**What you need**:

- You need to be a strategic leader with strong business acumen and a commercial awareness, preferably in the insurance industry and in an international environment
- Have the ability to communicate well with leadership teams, peers, teams across the globe, and manage stakeholders effectively
- Ability to manage a small team of AI and ML resources, typically with a combination of strategic, tactical focus
- Have solid experience and expertise in latest AI, ML technologies (NLP,ComputerVision,etc.)
- A minimum of a bachelor or master’s degree in a relevant discipline
- Proven experience in an AI, Digital or related roles supporting multiple specialty areas of Digital, Data and Analytics
