The **Yard Assistant **will report to the **Branch** **Manager.**

**Job Overview**

**Yard Assistant duties and responsibilities**:

- Stay friendly and helpful
- Work as part of a team
- Resolve questions and service issues for customers face to face
- Accurately document sale information
- Use in house ‘customer ticket’ system
- Sell products to established customers through up-selling and cross-selling
- Identify and act as a company ambassador at all times
- Be professional
- Use company vehicles in a safe manner
- Ensure Stock is kept at appropriate levels
- Ensure the yard is kept clean and tidy
- Adhere to all Health & Safety Policies and Safe Working Practices
- Complete all reasonable Management requests

**Yard Assistant requirements**:

- Good time-management skills
- Strong Numeracy skills (use of measuring tape/measurements etc.)
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Always wear appropriate PPE & Uniform
- Previous Forklift Trainind desirable but not essential as training can be given

**Salary**: £9.75 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Pontypool: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (required)

**Experience**:

- Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)
- Forklift driving: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- drivers licence (required)
