**About the Role**:
Nerams Ltd are looking for individuals to join our team as Apprentice Emergency Care Assistants. Emergency Care Assistants provide essential support to our team of paramedics to deliver quality, effective and personal care.

If you're looking to make the most of your life skills in a challenging but extremely reqrding environment and are willing to work shifts, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

The nature of this role requires you to work as a crew, either with a paramedic or another ECA to deal with life and death situations. You will need to be compassionate, caring and committed.

**No previous training or medical experience is required**, the focus is on life experience and the right personal characteristics as all training is provided.

**The Training**:
You will receive 9 weeks of initial training, including:
Level 3 Diploma in Ambulance Emergency and Urgent Care Support (5 weeks)

Level 3 Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving (4 weeks)

Plus Statutory and Mandatory E-Learning and CPD

Nerams Ltd is a Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulated independent ambulance service with a wealth of operational and educational experience. Our ambulance operations provide response to 999 calls in our A&E ambulance division, care and transportation in our Patient Transport Services, expert skillsets in moving and caring for bariatric, paediatric, and mental health patients in our Specialist Transport Services, and long-distance and air services providing high dependency care in our Repatriation Division. On top of this, we provide services in the Event Medical sector, Technical Rescue in heavy industry and Screening and Testing Services. This wide array of operational activities ensures we are experienced, effective, and skilled in all aspects of Health and Social Care. These operations are supported by a dedicated Education and Development department that internally ensures the continuous development and compliance of all staff, as well as assures the quality of the organisations' systems and processes.

Across the Northeast of England, Nerams Ambulance Service supports the NHS to ensure that anyone who urgently requires medical attention or urgent transfer to definitive care receives exactly that, whilst maintaining a patient-centric approach at all times.

The Nerams Clinical Team offer a quality A&E service across the Northeast that provides urgent and emergency care which is dictated by patient need. Our Clinical Professionals include Doctors, Paramedics, Ambulance Technicians, Nurses or Emergency Care Assistants.

We are focused on delivering a first-class 24/7 Accident & Emergency Ambulance service which never fail in their vital service. We continually invest in our people and facilities so that we bring you the best service and standards possible.

Nerams Ltd is operated by our Clinical Governance Management Team which is headed by our own Medical Director, who is a Doctor (GP) and supported by a Prescribing Pharmacist alongside our HCPC Clinical Managers who work to the highest clinical standards and our use of medicines is aligned to JRCALC protocols. Our vehicles are equipped up to and in some cases beyond the NHS Standard Ambulance. All our vehicles & equipment are regularly maintained and we follow ‘best practice' industry guidelines.

Our ambulances are always operated by fully qualified Ambulance Crews. We understand the importance of a swift, professional and reliable service when it comes to dealing with potential life-threatening cases.

All our staff are trained to the highest standards with employees having had previous experience with the Private and NHS sectors. All our staff have undertaken a full disclosure (DBS) before being employed by us. Our Paramedics are all registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and operate to national standards which mirror those of the NHS trusts or to specifics of a given contract.
