Technique Recruitment Solutions Ltd are a specialist Engineering & manufacturing Recruitment company based in Norwich. Our client have a permanent position for a Embedded Software Engineer to join their team
**The Role
**Lead project design activities and implement Embedded software for the automotive and motor-sport industry
Understand component specifications/datasheets, and integrate these components into software designs
Document and report software designs to software development team and compile and track changes for each release
Work closely with the Embedded software and hardware engineers on new features and functions
Document release in line with ISO9001 and communicate these releases to internal teams
Report and track bugs using VSTS (Azure DevOps)
Assess software changes and impact to underlying software designs
Design manual and automated test cases and plans
Estimate effort required to perform development duties - identify and communicate as early as possible if targets are likely to be missed.
**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
**ESSENTIAL**
Experience in embedded software using C
Experience of analysis of specifications, requirements and datasheets
Experience in embedded software design
**DESIRABLE**
Experience of automating Embedded software testing
Use of VSTS for bug tracking
Writing automated test scripts
Use of Electronic lab equipment
Python
Experience of CAN, and relevant tools
Experience of the automotive/motorsport domain
