**Contract Type: Permanent**

**Location: East Midlands and East Of England (you will allocated to your nearest Cadent Office)**

**Salary: £27727 - £32620 DOE**

**About the role**

As an Occupational Health Technician, you’ll play a key role in providing a professional Occupational Health & Wellbeing service to the business with, including effective and timely health surveillance service and advice to managers and colleagues.You’llbe part of a new in-house Occupational Health & Wellbeing team, bringing health directly to our employees. And, you’ll combine elements of health surveillance, ‘fit for work’ assessments, health education, administration, reporting data, risk assessments,physical agents monitoring and other health & wellbeing support activities. Also, you should be happy with frequent travel and regular overnight stays, driving to various locations throughout your Network.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Delivering a range of health surveillance and other occupational health & wellbeing activities, covering operational and non-operational colleagues, in line with current HSE guidance and company requirements
- Working autonomously and as part of the in-house team, able to flex and adapt, acting on feedback from the business, continuously improving and delivering a quality service to meet customer needs
- Advising on legislative health requirements and best practice in health and wellbeing, seeking opportunities for service improvement and innovation
- Delivering a service that promotes the optimum health and wellbeing of all colleagues across various locations
- Carrying out monitoring of physical agents and feedback findings to allow the SHE management team to enable better controls to be established
- Carrying out any other duties appropriate in accordance with business needs.

**About You**
- Valid UK Driving License
- Current training and competency in Audiometry, Respiratory and HAVs screening and general body metrics, BP/Vision/BMI
- Current knowledge of common public health topics and be able to deliver motivational consultations and provide evidence-based advice and information on Heart Disease, Exercise, Nutrition, Sleep, Diabetes, Common Cancers Alcohol & Drug use
- Experience of delivering peripatetic screening services with indirect supervision
- Good understanding of GDPR, Confidentiality and Data Privacy
- Computer literate with Microsoft packages and OH platforms
- Science or Sports & Exercise Degree or similar
- Experience with Orchid Live platform
