Due to their continued growth and exciting people led agenda, they are now seeking a HR Advisor to join their vibrant company. Heading for B-Corp status, to the development of our people processes and enable new people routines to become embedded within their ways of working.

Alongside ensuring you deliver all the day-to-day HR activities needed for a 55 person business, as a growing business; attracting, retaining and developing their team members will form a core part of your day to day activities.

As part of this team you will embody and promote the core values of their brands in all your dealings, both externally and internally. Be guided, consistently, by these values in your day-to-day role. This is an ideal role for an energetic and proactive HR Advisor in a growing company offering a dynamic, fast-paced, working environment. The role might suit someone who is developing in their HR career and could be looking for an opportunity to lead the HR agenda for the first time.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Being a champion of all matters relating to the people agenda;
- Serves as an advisor/coach to line managers on people related matters such as employee performance, employee relations and new initiatives;
- Dealing with various HR queries throughout the business;
- Advising managers on recruitment and selection strategies;
- Coordinating the appointment process for successful applicants;
- Using HR information systems to access, input and compile data;
- Managing staff relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have and managing their expectations;
- Work with a senior mentor to help develop people practices such as performance, development, succession planning, engagement and well-being;
- Influencing and building relationships with people around the business;
- Ensuring our ways of working underpin our aspirations to be a world class place to work in terms of our levels of team engagement;
- Manage monthly payroll (training given if needed);
- Manage your own continuing professional development, utilising available learning resources and opportunities and your own personal networks and contribute to colleague development by sharing skills and knowledge.

Communicate confidently and effectively and with energy and enthusiasm at all levels of the organisation, ensuring sound HR advice and guidance is provided to non-HR specialists.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that a responsive and effective HR service is provided. Understand where there are pressure points and contribute and share resources to support higher priority work.

Demonstrate pragmatism and support for the shared goals of the business and work flexibly as a team member across different areas when needed. Provide detailed advice on people management issues across the business.

Identify issues which are complex, potentially contentious or may have far-reaching impact and bring these to the attention of the Leadership Team. Identify and drive forward opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of HR services. Continually seek and act on feedback to evaluate and improve own performance.

Additionally, the following skills and experience will be advantageous:

- Associate Member of the CIPD (Assoc. CIPD);
- Experience of providing proactive and professional first line HR support and advice to a diverse workforce;
- Experience of managing payroll and advising on pay and benefits benchmarking;
- Experience of using HR databases;
- Proven track record and commitment to own CPD activities;
- Able to demonstrate detailed understanding of key employment law;
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and HR information systems. Competence in the use of Excel to support the development of accurate and useful management information;
- Exceptional organisational skills and a proven ability to work under pressure whilst ensuring accuracy, quality and attention to detail at all times;
- Ability to design and deliver presentations and training interventions to a wide variety of audience.
