**We are looking for you Calling all budding writers / bloggers and publishers**

We are in desperate need to gather our fantastic volunteers stories.

Fancy getting more experience alongside your University Degree? Or have a passion for journalism and writing, if that’s you, we are here to help you, and you can help us too

This role will allow you to capture and produce volunteer & staff stories, photos, quotes, blogs and case studies.

We need you if you have a genuine interest in talking to people to find out their stories and can translate that into appropriate copy, messaging and creative writing.

You will be guided by the Volunteer Officer, with tips and advice from the pros in the Marketing department but also you will be working on your own initiative.

Our aim is to promote Tenovus Cancer Care volunteering through our volunteer’s voices so we can engage better with our current supporters, recognise their contribution, and increase our volunteer numbers across more diverse communities.

To be a success in this role, you will need a little knowledge a whole lot of passion and creative genius. Be able to put people at ease and get stuck in.

**What will I be doing?**

Your main duties will involve, but may not be limited to:
Connecting with our warehouse and our shop teams across Wales and England and all departments in the charity to collate stories

Working with a variety of diverse people to collate and produce content to support our strategic aims in the People & Development department

Creating top class quality and usable content when it comes to volunteer and staff stories

Being creative with your copy for items such as blog pieces

Other projects may arise, so be ready

**What skills and qualities do I need?**

Being a friendly and approachable person

Welsh speaker is desirable but its not essential at all

A positive can-do attitude and willingness to get involved

Fab listening, verbal and written communication skills

Empathy and sensitivity in your approach

Knowledge of how to construct Social media posts and blogs

Attention to detail is vital

Open to constructive feedback and able to articulate your ideas with the ability to work professionally with others

Ability to put together and edit videos and content we can use for promotions

Ability to be a self-starter and manage your time and workload with mínimal supervision

**How much time do I need to commit?**

How much or as little time as you can & want. This role is great for building skills and experience. If you are studying in University or have a job, we are flexible.

**What support and training will I be given?**

The Volunteer Officer will be on hand for any questions

**Where will I be based?**

Home based with occasional travel to local shops/warehouse. Access to own transport is preferable
