You must have some knowledge of timber/ wood.

West Riding Recruitment is looking for Timber Pickers based in Tingley, Wakefield/Leeds.

The job will be to work in our hard and soft wood timber department picking orders from stock.

We would prefer to have individuals with some form of previous experience however we are willing to review CVs that show they may have the ability to stay the course and learn the role.

You must have worked within the timber industry or building industry

Afternoon/ Mid Shift

Monday - Thursday 1500 - 2400

Friday 1500 - 2100

Includes 1 x 60 min lunch and 2 x 15 min breaks

**Salary**: between £23,500 - £25,000 depending on experience

Bonuses: 3 x bonuses a year (1.5k-3k minimum)

Holidays 32 days a year (Site closure over Christmas and New year as standard)

Pension: Company match up to 7.5%

**Requirements**:

- Hard working and willing to learn, will be part of a 3-4 man team.
- Willing to move full time employment after 12 weeks.
- FLT Licence preferred
- Previous experience preferred
- To be able to tell different spices of wood and to learn the ability to identify them
- The ability to measure wood
- The ability to check the grades of wood
- To be able to check the condition of the wood
- To be able to calculate the cutting process of the wood without physically cutting it.
