CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR / ESTIMATOR

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Supervisor / Estimator to join our hugely successful team, based in our East Anglia region. The position offered would cover Ministry of Defence (DIO) sites across East Anglia servicing the Defence InfrastructureOrganisation’s new Future Defence Infrastructure Services (FDIS)

FDIS represents a new way of working for DIO, which manages the Ministry of Defence’s estate, in line with wider government policy and uses the approach set out in DIO’s Commercial Strategy. It is designed to enable a better relationship with suppliers basedon "openness, honesty and trust".

We are looking for a Construction Supervisor / Estimator to Supervise Building and Civil Engineering works for the MOD Estate Department.

Roles and responsibilities of the Construction Supervisor / Estimator in brief:

- To attend day to day work requests of the On and Off compound properties within service level agreements of MOD Estates in accordance with Dodd Group and local Health and Safety regulations.
- To monitor the attendance of regular staff, Contractor staff, as per their deployment at works and leave records.
- To supervise sub-contractors and their work force engaged in various billable works related to B&CE.
- To prepare rough order of costs, BOQ for the B&C works for day-to-day activities and projects.
- To prepare Planning and Scheduling the B&CE works on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- To coordinate with M&E and Furnishing team for all the related B&CE works.
- Preparation of scope of work for B&C works.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience
- Good knowledge of latest construction equipment’s and machinery related to B&C.
- Good Knowledge of computer skills.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Good Knowledge of Software’s / MS Office (Word and Excel)
MS Project / Asta Power Project experience is desirable although not essential
