Clinical Nursing Support Worker

The Outpatients departments at Wirral University Teaching Hospital are looking for enthusiastic, forward thinking, professional and experienced clinical support workers to join their team.

This role will cover working in outpatient clinics across all Wirral University Teaching Hospital sites.
Previous care experience is essential. In addition completion of your Care Certificate +/- NVQ level 3 is desirable but not essential, training and opportunity to complete during first 6 months will be given.
- Provide high quality clinical /nursing care to patients as identified by senior staff.
- Maintain accurate records of the patient’s care in line with Trust, professional and departmental guidelines.
- Report any abnormal findings directly to registered nursing staff / medical staff.
- Communicate clearly with patients, carers, relatives and all members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Communication with patients including discussion on patient comfort and safety and recording of communications on Wirral Millennium.
- Perform a range of clinical tasks or procedures which may include;
(examples listed below are not exhaustive)
- Chaperoning Patients,
- Undertaking basic nursing care,
- Assisting with Hygiene needs,
- Poviding diet and fluids to patients,
- Recording of and documentation of basic observations,
- Measuring and Recording patients Height and Weight.
