The Role
As a Rural Enterprise Co-ordinator, you will develop and deliver initiatives to fulfil our sustainable tourism and economy ambitions.
Within this supportive role, you will help to develop projects that will increase our profile, generate income and enhance engagement with tourism providers and local businesses.
Specifically, working to support the visitor economy, you will engage tourism businesses in the core purposes of the National Park and the CareMoor for Exmoor scheme. You will also develop commercial initiatives and other funding proposals to secure new sources of income.
**The two key outcomes of your role will be**:
- Ensuring businesses contribute to projects that conserve and enhance Exmoor
- Holding a range of events (including our popular Dark Skies Festival) that engage people with National Park purposes and contribute to our financial stability
About You
To be considered as a Rural Enterprise Co-ordinator, you will need:
- Knowledge and experience of working within the fields of economic development and business support
- Experience of devising, researching, developing, co-ordinating, and evaluating visitor experiences
- Knowledge of business development and an understanding of running commercial initiatives
- Excellent administrative and project planning skills
- To be educated to a minimum level 5 qualification (such as a Foundation Degree or Higher National Diploma) or higher (or equivalent professional experience)
