Semi-senior Accountant

Semi-Senior Accountant opportunity within an established and growing Chartered Accountancy & Advisory Practice offering varied responsibilities and long term career development.

**THE COMPANY**

An established Chartered Accountancy & Advisory Practice with an innovative solution-focused approach to advising SME businesses. The firm provides its clients with a broad range of Compliance and Business Advisory solutions and is experiencing growth indemand for its bespoke Cloud Accounting and Outsourced Financial Management solutions.

**THE OPPORTUNITY**

A Semi-Senior Accountant position has arisen which would suit an AAT Qualified or ACCA Part-Qualified (or QBE) Accountant and offers responsibility for providing Accountancy solutions to a portfolio of SME clients.

Duties & Responsibilities will involve:

- Preparing Year-End Accounts, Monthly / Quarterly Management Accounts and VAT Returns for a portfolio of small business clients (c.£100k - £3m t/o), including sole trader, owner-managed and family owned businesses
- Regular client contact, ensuring deadlines are maintained and work is prepared accurately and on time
- Use of Sage 50, Xero and other online software packages on a daily basis
- Reviewing VAT / Bookkeeping work prepared by junior staff

**THE PERSON**

You will be an Accountancy professional able to demonstrate the following:

- AAT Qualified or ACA / ACCA Part-Qualified (or QBE)
- Background within Accountancy Practice (c.3 - 4 years minimum)
- Accounts Preparation, Tax Computations and Business Services experience
- Experience of working with SME and Owner-Managed businesses
- Good working knowledge of Xero and possibly other online / cloud accounting software
