**Based in Wythenshawe**

**37 hours per week (full time - Occasional weekend working may be required)**

**Grade 2 (lower) point 11-15: £20,579 - £23,268 FTE, per annum**

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced Outreach Worker to join the team at the Children’s Centre, with the aim of making a positive difference and improving outcomes for children, young people, and those around them.

This Outreach Worker vacancy provides an exciting opportunity to provide front-line, high-quality group and individual interventions both universal and targeted for children pre-birth to age of 5 and their parents. As SALT Champion, you will provide leadershipand support within the team on Speech and Language initiatives, maintain direct contact with the Speech and Language Team, keep up with new initiatives and policy and with training deliver speech and language interventions including screening.

Based in local Children’s Centres Outreach Workers will work in partnership with Health Visitors and other services to ensure that children pre-birth to 5 years and their parents, particularly those identified as priority and excluded, are signposted tothe full range of services provided via our client’s Children’s Centres and within community to ensure their needs are met.

The successful applicant will have an understanding of Early Years Child Development, the importance of the first 1001 days, speech and language development and the importance of attachment in child and parent/carer relationships.
